Publication Procedure

Wah Academia Journal of Society, Culture and Policy (WAJSCP) publishes four issues per year (Quarterly). The journal follows a transparent, rigorous, and fair publication process to ensure academic quality and integrity.

1. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts are submitted through the journal's designated submission system or official editorial email in accordance with the journal's Instructions for Authors. Submissions must comply with the journal's ethical, originality, authorship, and formatting requirements.

2. Editorial Screening

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's scope, scholarly quality, originality, ethical compliance, and conformity with submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements may be returned to authors or declined.

3. Double-Anonymous Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass initial screening are evaluated through double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers (external to the journal’s Editorial Board) with relevant subject expertise. Authors' and reviewers' identities are concealed during the review process. Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, academic contribution, methodology, evidence, clarity, and overall scholarly quality.

4. Revision and Editorial Decision

Where revisions are required, authors are invited to respond to reviewers' comments and submit a revised manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final editorial decision after considering the reviewers' reports, authors' responses, the quality of the revised manuscript, and relevant editorial recommendations.

5. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo editorial preparation, including language editing, formatting, reference checking, and proofreading. Authors may be asked to review and approve the final proofs before publication.

6. Publication

Approved articles are published in the journal's scheduled quarterly issues and made freely available online under the journal's stated open-access and licensing terms.

Publication Schedule:

  • Issue 1: January–March
  • Issue 2: April–June
  • Issue 3: July–September
  • Issue 4: October–December

WAJSCP maintains the same scholarly and peer-review standards for regular and special-issue submissions, where applicable. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit and are independent of authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, or other non-academic characteristics.
